Wisconsin Integrative Hyperbaric Center or as many call it " A Place of Grace " was created because of a little girl by the name of " Gracie" whose life was saved by Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. Gracie's life until the age of three consisted of the world's best hospitals and limited time at home with her family. At the age of 3 years old Gracie was blind, failing to thrive, and fed through a feeding tube (she weighed 11 pounds at age 3); she suffered from seizures, infantile spasms, and underwent several surgical procedures.
Gracie's family researched Hyperbaric Therapy for over a year and though the research showed nothing for children with Mitochondrial Disorders, Gracie showed many of the same characteristics as a CP and TBI Children. Gracie's real journey began here, after mainstream medicine offered little hope for Grace. Hyperbaric medicine was her last chance for life. HBOT not only saved Gracie's life, but gave her back to her family.
